How to Measure Your Wrist Size for the Comfortable Bracelet Fit

How to Measure Your Wrist Size for the Comfortable Bracelet Fit

Why Bracelet Fit Matters

Too tight, and it feels uncomfortable. Too loose, and it slips around or falls off. That’s why measuring your wrist correctly is the first step to finding your perfect bracelet.

What You’ll Need

You don’t need fancy tools to measure your wrist. A few simple everyday items will do:

  • A soft measuring tape (tailor’s tape) OR a strip of paper/string + a ruler
  • A pen to mark your measurement

Step 1: Wrap Around Your Wrist

Place the tape (or string/paper) just below your wrist bone. That’s where most bracelets sit. Wrap it snugly, but not too tight.

Step 2: Find Your Wrist Measurement

Read the measurement in inches or centimeters.
This number is your wrist circumference.
Example: If your wrist measures 16 cm (6.3 inches), that’s your base size.

Step 3: Add Allowance for Comfort

Bracelets need a little extra space for movement.
Snug fit: add 0.25–0.5 inches (0.6–1.3 cm)
Comfort fit (most common): add 0.5–0.75 inches (1.3–2 cm)
Loose fit: add 1 inch (2.5 cm)

So if your wrist is 16 cm, a comfortable bracelet size would be 17–17.5 cm.

Extra Tips

For adjustable bracelets, exact sizing isn’t critical.
For rigid bangles/cuffs, precise measurement is more important.
